Tomasz Wolanowski has over 25 years of experience in the energy and industry sectors. He has spent the majority of his professional career at ABB. He was initially responsible for the sales of high-voltage products. In 2001, he moved to Trelleborg Polska to become local business unit manager. After 4 years he returned to ABB Poland to take over responsibility for sales of medium-voltage products, and subsequently – for the sales organization across all ABB businesses on the Polish market. In 2013-2019 he served as Country Managing Director in ABB Romania. Presently, he is the President of the Board at ABB Sp. z o.o. and the Electrification local business manager, ABB Poland.
ABB is a leading global supplier of electrification, robotics, automation and industrial drives solutions. The company focuses on the development of digital technologies for industry, transport and infrastructure that increase productivity and efficiency while reducing energy consumption and emissions on a global scale. Poland in an important point on the global ABB map, being a production, engineering and technological hub, and employing over 5,000 people. ABB has been operating here for almost 30 years. In Bielsko-Biała, Przasnysz, Aleksandrów Łódzki, Łódź and Kłodzko it manufactures, among others, high-performance electric motors, industrial drives, intelligent traction solutions as well as medium and low voltage equipment. ABB opened a robotic applications center in Warsaw, and in Kraków – Global Business Services and Corporate Technology Center. This R&D unit designs and develops state-of-the art solutions for industry which are being commercially implemented by ABB on the global markets.
