Francesco Crivelli

Senior R&D engineer and project manager at CSEM, Dr. Francesco Crivelli is managing multiple projects in the area of digitalization with a particular focus on process control and optimization. With extensive experience in modelling, analysis, control systems, and system integration, he is a key engineer in CSEM’s industry 4.0 activities. He holds a Master degree in Mechanical Engineering with focus on mechatronics and control and a PhD in Health Sciences and Technology from ETH Zurich.

Erwin Bollinger

Ambassador Erwin Bollinger (*1962), Attorney, LLM, Head of Bilateral Economic Relations Division and Federal Council Delegate for Trade Agreements since 1.6.2018. From 2008 to 2018 he was Head of the Export Controls and Sanctions Section and Dep. Head of the Bilateral Economic Relations Division. From 2005 – 2008 he was Head of Export Control Policy. From 2003 to 2005 he was Dep. Head of Bilateral Economic Relations Europe/Central Asia. From 1999 to 2003 Counsellor at the Swiss Mission to the EU in Brussels. He joined the Federal Administration in 1992 starting at the former Integration Office FDFA/FDEA, transferring to the former Federal Office for Foreign Economic Affairs, World Trade/WTO Section in 1995. Between 1989 and 1992 he worked at swissmedic, becoming Dep. Head of the Legal Affairs Service in 1991.

David Avery

David Avery leads the group within Switzerland Global Enterprise that focuses on promoting Swiss cleantech.

David has extensive expertise and proven leadership in both technical and business fields gained working in private industry. Previously, David worked at Cleantech Fribourg where he was responsible for developing cleantech within SME’s, for promoting innovation in cleantech though private-public partnerships and for analysis of opportunities for companies to implement cleantech. He managed programs to promote and support certification and encourage energy efficiency, has worked closely with academia, associations and local government and has set up and run further education courses related to the European Energy Award and building efficiency (CECB®/ GEAK®).
David has worked in Switzerland since 1993, he began his working career in the UK as a research scientist. He holds a degree in Chemistry from the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom.

 

Tomasz Wolanowski

Electrification local business manager, ABB Poland

Tomasz Wolanowski has over 25 years of experience in the energy and industry sectors. He has spent the majority of his professional career at ABB. He was initially responsible for the sales of high-voltage products. In 2001, he moved to Trelleborg Polska to become local business unit manager. After 4 years he returned to ABB Poland to take over responsibility for sales of medium-voltage products, and subsequently – for the sales organization across all ABB businesses on the Polish market. In 2013-2019 he served as Country Managing Director in ABB Romania. Presently, he is the President of the Board at ABB Sp. z o.o. and the Electrification local business manager, ABB Poland.

ABB is a leading global supplier of electrification, robotics, automation and industrial drives solutions. The company focuses on the development of digital technologies for industry, transport and infrastructure that increase productivity and efficiency while reducing energy consumption and emissions on a global scale. In this way, ABB contributes to the implementation of the UN’ Sustainable Development Goals.

Poland in an important point on the global ABB map, being a production, engineering and technological hub, and employing over 5,000 people. ABB has been operating here for almost 30 years. Marlena Tryka

Deputy director in the Department of Innovation and Industrial Policy at the Ministry of Development and Technology, responsible for the implementation of green economy solutions and industrial regulations.

Her responsibilities include also development of support mechanisms for energy-intensive enterprises and the implementation of key regulations in the chemical industry. Previously, she was the deputy director of the Economic Analysis Department at the Ministry of Development. She also gained professional experience in financial institutions and in the non-governmental sector, where she dealt mainly with economic analyzes. Economist and public finance manager by education.

Agnieszka Sznyk

Agnieszka Sznyk PhD is the President of the Board at INNOWO, the Institute of Innovation and Responsible Development in Warsaw, Poland. She holds a PhD in Life Sciences and is an expert in the fields of sustainable production and consumption, circular economy and healthcare economics in Poland. Agnieszka has been connected with nongovernmental organizations for many years, notably as a founder and manager of the Polish Circular Hotspot (www.circularhotspot.pl) and the international educational campaign Circular Week (www.circularweek.org).

Agnieszka serves as an Economy expert at CE Working Group under the National Smart specializations (NSS) appointed by the Steering Committee, which consists of the representatives of the Ministry of Investment and Economic Development, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy in Poland.

Michał Stępień

Michał Stępień – in UBS in Poland since 2008, before becoming General Manager of Poland Business Solutions Centers in 2013 and Country Head in 2017 held positions of COO, IT Service Delivery Head, Legal and Compliance Head and Service Delivery Head. Michal has over 15 years of leadership experience. Prior to joining UBS, he worked in international companies such as Royal AHOLD and DELL. Michal is qualified Attorney in Law. He is the President of the Board of Polish-Swiss Chamber of Commerce.

Jürg Burri

The Ambassador of Switzerland, Jürg Burri, has been a Diplomat for 25 years. He was born 1965 in Switzerland. After studies, he became a journalist for Political affairs and also worked for two years in World fairs. After becoming a Diplomat, he mostly served in rapidly growing cities e.g. New York, Beijing, Warsaw. He is convinced, that everyone of us must help protect nature. Clean technologies are one of our key opportunities. They combine Eco-friendliness and Innovation and will drive growth and well being. He’s been the Swiss Ambassador to Poland since Summer 2018.
